Sad Day.

Oscar sad today.
Lost a very dear friend to cancer last night, after a very long battle, bravely borne.
She touched the lives of many , and her brand of honesty will be sadly missed.
Long before I knew her she was a drinking alcoholic.
She had not had a drink for I think 25 years, in that time I believe she helped many who wanted her help.
Since getting sober she had turned her live around got a degree and built a very successfull business, employing many, and indeed helping many.
She had a wise business head together with a personal touch.
I first remember the phrase economics of the mad house from her, it makes me smile now, even as I write this.
I had a genuine love for her.
.She will never be forgotten by me
I needed some advice about 6 years ago, and she cut her day off short and we talked until mid night, and what wise counsel she was.
How many married men could sit and talk with a female friend like that, and their wife's be happy with it, for she knew us both well.
How many friends would be there for us on a Sunday like that?
Quality not quantity !!
God bless my friend.

The above is a quote from today's Daily Post in which the Chief Conservative in the Arsembly has now tried to jump on the band wagon which left some weeks ago, had he bothered to read the press.

David Jones MP wrote in his blog and has been vocal since early LAST MONTH, about his grave concerns about North Walians having to travel south for serious brain surgery and treatment.

To my knowledge he was the first politician to do so, even travelling to Walton for a meeting, resulting in us finding out that the good people of Walton had not even been granted the courtesy of been told that there was even a review taking place.

Not only is it serious for the patients , but also their relatives.

Where the hell has Bourne been?

Where have the rest of this circus known as the ARSembly been?

A couple of Labour MPs tried to jump on a couple of weeks ago, beside that nothing!

I think Mr Millar must read David Jones's blog, for we have a delayed reaction from happy clappy of a couple of days before he tries to jump on a band wagon.

The missing Betty!

As I predicted in one of my first ever postings, it appears "our Betty" will indeed be jumping ship from the Conwy constituency at the next election and standing for the newly created seat of Arfon.

Could be why she has been missing in this part all summer!

This was whispered into my shell like ear this afternoon by a lady in the know!

Well thats the talk in the inner circle!

It comes as no surprise to myself and a few others, it was predicted in Labour circles some time ago.

Who the local labour party pick, or even they they have any choice is any ones guess.

They could pick one of a couple of long standing councillors, but hey they don't seem to want to do it that way do they?

Remember Alan Barrett, he wanted to stand for the arsembly some years ago, good long serving councillor, who did they pick but china chops Denise duller by the minute Jones!

Blackberry's [not that sort]

While most of the country seem now only able to think of one sort of Blackberry,which I have no inclination to possess at the moment, I stopped the car up the Valley today and spent a pleasant hour picking blackberries!
It is to the uninitiated called having a bit of me time!
I wonder how many of the younger generation know what a blackberry is? or even looks like.
Many do not even have a father to take them blackberrying, like I had so many years ago.
The mother would not have a clue how to bake a blackberry and apple pie, the 34 year old grandmothers most properly have no clue either.
How so very sad.
Oh to be like the old boy and be able to bugger off out of the country.
I understand now how some of the older generation feel.

Lead by Donkeys!!

I firmly believe that we in this country are been lead by a pack of donkeys.
I had a long chat with a "gentle" man today of 93 years of age.
He has all his wits about him, and he was saying how disgusted he is about the way the whole country has gone, and how he thinks it has gone down the drain for good.
So what does this lovely man think he is going to do about the way he feels?
I will tell you , he is emigrating to New Zealand!!
I kid you not.
He is off to live with his son and family, and he told me" I wont be coming back either"
He could have gone to Canada to his daughter, but thinks it gets too cold there!
I say good on him!
I also think that it says it all about how T--- Up this once great country of ours has gone.
I have not really heard the news today, but I did get a bit about the Lib Dems and there proposed amnesty regarding asylum seekers.
What planet are they on for Gods sake?

Badgers

By all accounts Badgers Tea rooms is for sale, again!

One minute he wants to expand,next he is for sale.

Barry has to me always been far too interested in having staff meetings ,and taking up valuable table space when the tea room is fill and the table could be used to make money for the place. Could be said the place was top heavy with bosses, too many chiefs and not enough indians.

Give me a boss with a finger on the pulse any time,there is a saying going some thing like , lies, lies , and dam statistics.

There is nothing like been at the sharp end of things.

One can spend all day doing statistics and customer counts, but it ain't going to get people through the door to pay the bills.

I see Jim Davidson is coming back to perform in Llandudno in December.
fresh from his booting out of Hells Kitchen on TV!
Which hotel will the little imp not be staying at though?
All due to him giving an encore to with some one Else's wife after the show in his hotel, not realising there was an audience!!!
He is, I believe persona non grata in the said hotel!
Naughty naughty!!
Let us hope he confines his performances to the theatre this time!

Abortion

Below are a couple of extracts from this weeks parish news letter from Fr Jones of Llandudno's Catholic church.
Some very emotive and strong stuff.
But someone has to say something!
I must say that when I look around the town and other towns/cities some thing seems a miss with all these teenage girls been up the spout and pushing prams around.
Some seem to treat having a child as some sort of right of passage to get a flat and some income.
I was buying a paper the other morning ,and in front of me were a couple of teenage mums buying there toddlers a packet of crisps and a soft drink for their breakfast. Mad!
Also we have the other group , who treat abortion as some glorified morning after pill.
This to me seems to have gone too far down the road, not helped by the labour government since 1997.
It has to begin in the home and continue through school and society.
The breakdown in family values and ones own self respect has gone too far.
I do not profess to know the answer.
But please, some one has to do some thing to reverse this sad trend.

Father Jones also comments on stem cell experimentation.
I do not know much about it myself.
