Have travelled on it twice with six year old granddaughter-both of us loved it!
Just one small grouse-why hike up the price to £1.50 each within the first two weeks of operating?! The land train runs with several empty seats now!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8238851047254494953.post-74121819017651265922008-07-26T06:29:00.000+01:002008-07-26T06:29:00.000+01:00It is doing very well by the looks of things.Well ...It is doing very well by the looks of things.
Well done, sorry for the other chap who tried to do and was knocked back.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8238851047254494953.post-15772754627714008442008-07-25T18:52:00.000+01:002008-07-25T18:52:00.000+01:00if that is true, then I don't blame the current op...if that is true, then I don't blame the current operators who ever they are, but as you pointed out, the powers that be.
I was sitting in the planning department not so long ago when a man was meeting with a planning officer and was told straight off his idea of building a home on HIS farming land would be a no no, you could of course appeal he said but that is our position.
The man left very dejected, wonder if he ever did apply?
He was given no hope by the officer, yet I have seen a few such homes go through since.
Same thing could have happened with this land train.Oscarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08023653041693280489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8238851047254494953.post-68444366495145783452008-07-25T18:38:00.000+01:002008-07-25T18:38:00.000+01:00John who runs the donkeys on the beach tried to do...John who runs the donkeys on the beach tried to do this 10 years ago and again 5 years ago but was told that it was not in keeping with the town by the people who now sing it's praises one rule for one but if you know the right people doors open wide.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8238851047254494953.post-39118979420154401042008-07-24T09:05:00.000+01:002008-07-24T09:05:00.000+01:00"Now lets have a regular boat to Isle of Man (agai..."Now lets have a regular boat to Isle of Man (again) and boat trips linking up with the open top bus"

Excellent idea!Oscarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08023653041693280489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8238851047254494953.post-1500715430467630922008-07-23T22:37:00.000+01:002008-07-23T22:37:00.000+01:00Excellent idea and great attraction for the summer...Excellent idea and great attraction for the summer. Now lets have a regular boat to Isle of Man (again) and boat trips linking up with the open top bus and the land train, thats the sort of thing we need for tourism, as the powers that be seem intent on destroying what we already have that attracts people.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
