Big Issue.

With the news that up to a third of Big Issue sellers are Romanian and in my opinion professional sellers as opposed to the original aim of them actually being homeless I think it far better to give direct to a charity such as Shelter these days or the Salvation Army.
The 2 cheeky chappies on Mostyn Street at one stage, maybe still do, travelled from Prestatyn, if they are that mobile I wonder what the real problem is with them?
They foreign sellers are also in the main claiming benefits and are in some cases better off than many of us who are actually working by the time one tots up their benefits.
We Ladies and Gentlemen are in many cases being taken for a ride, and that ride at some stage needs to stop.

Indeed Oscar,
The original idea of 'Big Issue' was to give some self respect and a basic level of income to those unfortunate people who had fallen on hard times. I used to buy it quite often to support the seller, thinking, 'that could have been me'

However, in my opinion it has become somewhat tainted over the years, and now I never buy it.
I feel it has been hijacked by the Eastern European influx.. thus putting our increasing number of homegrown needy at a disadvantage.
I reckon that if you were to lift up the stone on the Big Issue subject, you would find a lot of nasty wriggly things beneath!

Bloody foreigners coming over here and stealing all the homelessness! British shop doors, for British non-workers !

I believe everything I read in the Daily Mail, and believe that it doesn't follow an editorial agenda.

Wish the guy outside Spar in Conwy would clear off, at least the dog he had tied to the bars by the door has gone. !

I haven't seen a British Big Issue seller for a couple of years. Even in Bangor their foreign and I know it's a dreadful thing to say but it's one of the reasons I no longer buy it, that and the fact a couple of years ago a known bag head was selling the BI on the streets in Llandudno which made me realise it probably wasn't doing the proper checks sufficiently and so was no longer helping those who try to help themselves off drugs and alcohol and rebuild their lives.

At least they are polite and not pushy.
The British Big Issue sellers that used to be outside St John s church in Mostyn St were drunkards and druggies and it was a shame to see them and their dogs.
I never support them any longer after all W H Smiths have overheads and they look as if they are quiet these days.

The one outside spar in conwy is really lowering the tone. Can the powers that be in the temple of waste not have something planted on him and have him carted off once and for all.He will be scaring all the tourists off come spring unless something is done .Hanging is too good for this scum .

Has Spar agreed to him standing there? Why isn't he on the square? God I sound even worse now, I was just wondering :)

I'm sick of seeing them, one the other day said it was cold, I thought set fire to the big issues then and warm yourselve up with them! Then there is the chap with a dog sat reading a book, why should we pay him to do that? It's all a con, remove them from the streets now!
