Tory Conference
The Imperial Hotel Llandudno and Mr Lofthouse have milked the cancellation of the Welsh Tory Conference for all it's worth the last week in the press and on television, giving everyone the impression that the Tories had let them down, well they have and they have not, for the Tories cancelled withing their contractual time limit, as is the prerogative of any tour or organisation booking under such conditions.
When one considers how much trade the Imperial has been given by the Conservatives over the years in preference to say the St George's Hotel well I am pretty sure that the Imperial is still ahead of the game, might be wise of Mr Lofthouse to now keep quiet and be grateful for all the trade he has had of them in the past instead of inferring that he has had a contract broken out side of the limits allowed.

At the end of the day they have still poo pooed on the town have the tories
Llandudno is beginning to be noticed for it's whining.
You will probably hear Conwy Council complaining about the Loss in parking fines because of the cancellation!
OK all you conservatives, at least do the unthinkable to the conservative brain, and admit you are in the wrong.
I agree that they have let the town down but more than that they have let their own party followers down.
First Margaret Lyons who has been such a staunch conservative to the core and did not deserve the public humiliation the conservative party gave her.
Now the rest of llandudno hospitality who bend backwards to make their conference a success.
I wonder what the truth is, it must lie somewhere out there!
And to cancel it so close to the elections when most other parties gets together to organise their agenda for the election!!!
Prerogative? Sake!
The local tory situation is sick at the core - many good, well-meaning people of high integrity have left Aberconwy and after the proposed boundary changes, when Clwyd West and Aberconwy Clwyd West merge, we can expect a flood of resignations from Clwyd West, as Janet FS's insidious, Machiavellian machinations ruin the political and personal lives of Clwyd West Tories as well
Any of the Labour supporters here banging on about Bankers Bonuses care to tell us how their much vaunted tax on Bankers Bonus will raise if they get their way? What will happen to all those projects that it is suppose to fund?

No, I have no idea where you left your keys, but you do appear to have wandered into the wrong room by mistake.

Get a grip and an honest perspective here please!
Blame Janet if you must but realise too that she and her parents have never wavered in their party loyalty and the desire to bring good people forward.
They all have a good and long record of long service to the town and the cause. Janet is a strong and brutally honest member of the team and a strong leader. It is the likes of Mrs Lyon, Ann Yates,Barbara Bawldon,Cynthia Beesley, etc that would say such a thing or even son of Mrs Lyons as he is a problem here in the bay of Colwyn. His family were and still re very vindictive in their ways causing many problems in association Why these comments against Janet, Reason is they jealous of her well deserved success which didn't come easy and fact she so popular in association's across Wales.
If and when constituency's merge - Janet will be a breath of fresh air to Clwyd West also as she used to help us here when she was a teenager in the days of Nick Sheppard our agent.
She helped in european referendum, local elections and parliamentary days of Anthony Meyer etc My wife and I have followed her progress since those days, whilst having many friends in Aberconwy association who tell me of their problems associated as mentioned above.
Janet is too forgiving to those who have been nasty to her along the way but that is the measure of her character.
Needed to set record straight .
Colwyn Bay members
Iwas one who did not vote for JFSIcertainly will next time'A few weeks ago I had a problem Isaw my county councillors what a load of rubish they are so Iwent to my AM what a difference She and her staff were very kind and understanding aweek later problem resolved Many thanks Janet for all your help keep up the good work you havedone more for the area than the last AMs already
Oscar,
If you do your research properly (an unlikely occurance we all know) you'll find that The Welsh Tories also booked the St George Hotel, so both were let down.
The greatest loser financially was Venue Cymru.
Mr Lofthouse was right in his condemnation; not of any local Tory member, but rather central office who made the decision, which the organisers had to follow.
Difference is of course last anon the manager of the George did not go on TV complaining did he?
The Imperial has had a substantial amount of business off both the local and Welsh Tories over the years and it was he who was most prominent in his complaining.
I wonder if Anon of 28th Jan was speaking for all Colwyn Bay Mmebers when he signed on their behalf.
I hope Cll Lyons gets in during the elections so she can cock a snook at the lot of them who has treated her disgracefully.
She is a dedicated conservative and deserved better.
Yes the good old days of Sir Anthony Meyer and the agent Nick Sheppard. Does anyone know what has happened to Nick? The Tories need him now.
Glad JFS has some supporters, albeit slightly hysterical ones, in Colwyn Bay. She'll need then when she struggles to stay on the gravy train next time round.
Margaret Lyon defected once before when she didn't get her own way .
Good riddance
