Just before the last council elections old Tew threw a wobbler with the local Conservative association, he did not want to have a joint election leaflet with his then fellow councillor David Hill.
Since then of course he had become the President of Aberconwy Conservatives.
According to Jason Weyman he has now gone walkabout, right out of the Conservative fold.
Could it be anything to do with either of the other association officers, or as a long shot the allowance debacle?
I have not a clue, but if it is true, as I am true it is, well it is very embarrassing for the local party.
The other problem regarding Cllr Hazel Meredith will not help public perception of the local party either, although she knew full well what she was doing and in that case it was quite correct for the Party to take such action.

OH sorry she is the trouble in the Conservative party.
I bet he is leaving because the Finch is threatening to reduce his expenses.
Finch never said a word about reducing expenses when she was amongst the top claimants, but then there is an election soon.
Cll Christine Jones OF Craig y Don TRUTHFULLY said she would not claim the full amount of expenses during her election address, and I saw on the council web site that she kept to her word.
I have been watching out for her to see if she would keep her word.

I'm a lifetime Tory voter but the local representatives are rubbish and have been for years. Let's say goodbye and good riddance to the likes of Mr. Tew and old Ma Lyons!

She was then expelled and Jane Finch brought her back into the fold.

Dennis Tew did exactly the same thing as Hazel last year in Conwy Council-did he get expelled?
No.
A personal vendetta is despicable as is nepotism. Very Nasty indeed.
Dennis voted for a different candidate than the Conservative.
Hazel put up her own Conservative candidate, telling him he was 'official' on her say-so. The rules state that a candidate must be approved by both the Association and relevant branch. Hazel refused to follow rules and procedure even when they were made clear to her before she dug her own hole!
Hazel is in a mess entirely of her own making, brought about entirely by her own green-eyed pig-headedness.
David Jones and Clwyd West have not been helped by continued suppression and obfuscation of the facts by JFS for her own warped agenda.

I bet the party would have a knees up and the infighting would lessen, not stop, there`s still some repairing to be done before they are seen as a serious contender.
But it would be quieter.
Let`s not judge Councillor Tew until we hear his side of the story.
No doubt he has been bullied enough to take such action against the party he has supported for such a long time.
I bet he was driven to act by those who think `They, who should be obeyed`
Come on Cll Tew let hear the true facts of what has happened behind closed doors.
Cll Tew is not a young man and no doubt it can`t have been an easy decision for him to take, I hope that he will be supported by his many friends, some who is bound and rightly so, to be disappointed with his resignation.
I hope he will also be supported by his colleagues and other councillors, some who are quite ruthless.
